Dear SATY members,
Welcome to the third annual meeting of the Finnish Atherosclerosis Society, to be held in Kuopio March 13-14, 2009 (Tietoteknia, Auditorium, Savilahdentie 6). The registration and coffee starts at 12.30 p.m. on Friday the 13^th and the meeting will be closed on Saturday the 14^th at 12.30 p.m. The detailed program will be sent later. We are now accepting registrations for the meeting for those attending the meeting without an abstract. Also, if you have not submitted an abstract but would like to do so, we have extended the abstract deadline. *For the registrations with or without an abstract, the new deadline is February 13, 2009.*
For those coming to the meeting outside of Kuopio, the city can be reached easily by train (for timetables and connections, see www.vr.fi http://www.vr.fi/). Also several airlines fly to Kuopio regularly (www.finnair.fi http://www.finnair.fi/, www.blue1.com http://www.blue1.com/, www.fc.fi http://www.fc.fi/). The campus area can be reached by several local busses (busses number 4, 16, 21, 23) leaving from the bus stops in front of the Sokos department store (Haapaniemenkatu 24-26) at the market place.
