Innovation Services is arranging this spring two courses from intellectual property rights (IP). Copyrights, patents and trademarks are in the news almost daily.

IP rights do not have meaning only in business life. Research work produces and utilizes also IP rights. Come to listen to interesting talks and learn how you can protect and utilize your results more efficiently! Know-how from IP rights is an important part of working life skills.

Courses are:

IP rights and research (0.5 ECTS)

Time:            27th March 2018 at 12.15-16 (part 1/2) and 28th March 2018 at 9.15-12 (part 2/2)

Learning outcomes: The participant gets a good overview from different forms of IPR (e.g. copyrights, patents, trademarks) and how he/she should take IPR into account when giving lectures, publishing results or planning a new business based on his/her know-how or an invention.

Utilization of patent databases in research  (0.5 ECTS)

Time:             3rd May 2018 at 9.15-16
