Dear researchers, please find below the announcement from the Kavli Trust regarding their open call for research related to Mental health. In case you are interested, here are the eligibility criteria (these are also found via the links).
1. The project must address one or more of the selected evidence gaps 2. The proposal and the attachments have to be written in English 3. The research project has to originate from universities, academic institutions or research institutions or institutes in Norway, Sweden, Finland or the United Kingdom 4. The formal applicant has to be an institution (host institution) 5. The pre-proposal must be submitted by the principal investigator who must have a formal affiliation to the host institution 6. The project can not apply for less than NOK 3 M or more than NOK 10 M in total for the project period. Be aware that all payments will be made in NOK and that the host institution bears the risk associated with varying exchange rates. 7. Funding from the Kavli Trust cannot be used for overhead and/or other expenses not directly related to the project 8. The host institution must provide a considerable in-kind contribution. In the full proposal a commitment letter, describing the nature and level of its contribution to the project must be attached 9. The full proposal must be accompanied by a letter of endorsement signed by the head of the host institution 10. The research project must commit to user involvement by including two named user representatives as members of the research group 11. Publications must be in accordance with the ICMJE recommendationshttp://www.icmje.org/recommendations/ and the CONSORT statementhttp://www.consort-statement.org/. 12. NOK 20 M will be awarded to research projects addressing selected evidence gaps in child and adolescent mental health.
In the first stage of the process, eligible applicants submit short pre-proposals (appr. 6.000 characters) and on the basis of the review, approximately 10 applicants will be invited to submit full proposals.

What is the effect of school-based interventions to promote mental health in children and adolescents? 7. What is the effect of trauma-informed approaches in schools? 8. What is the effect of psychosocial interventions for school refusal? 9. What is the effect of interventions designed to reduce suicide-related behaviour in adolescents? 10. What is the effect of interventions children who have been subjected to abuse and neglect or have experienced violence in close relationships?
