Dear Researchers,

The Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowship and Doctoral Networks (Previously ITN) calls are now open.

The Postdoctoral Fellow call will close on 12th of October

The Doctoral Networks call will close on 16th of November.

MSCA Postdoctoral call (Individual fellowship) in a nutshell:

-          Training program for individual postdoctoral fellows, 2 years

-          Bottom-up so researcher can apply in any discipline and with any topic.

-          Incoming researcher: Any nationality can apply to come to the University of Oulun yliopisto

-          Outgoing researcher: A researcher working at the University of Oulu can apply to go to anywhere in the world.

-          Restrictions: No more than 8 years from PhD (some exceptions exist, such as maternity leave etc).

-          Mobility rule applies: The researcher coming or going must move to another laboratory in another country. More precisely: The applying researcher cannot have resided in the organization to which they are applying to go for more than 12 months within the last 3 years. Meaning that if a foreign researcher is currently in Oulu but has resided here for less than 12 months at the time of the deadline – that researcher is eligible to apply.

MSCA Doctoral networks call (used to be ITN) in a nutshell

-          A consortium with minimum of 3 organizations from a minimum of 3 different EU-countries (or associated countries) can apply

-          The training program is for PhD students, 3 years

-          The training program is fully bottom-up meaning that the consortium can suggest a training program in any discipline and with any topic

-          Mobility rule applies meaning that a research group from the University of Oulu cannot recruit researchers residing in Finland.

-          Recruited researchers can come from anywhere in the world.
