We start with a lecture given by prof. Timo Hautala presenting the last year´s Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine awarded jointly to Katalin Karikó and Drew Weissman "for their discoveries concerning nucleoside base
modifications that enabled the development of effective mRNA vaccines against COVID-19".
Thereafter we connect to Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden, to follow as a live webcast the official announcement of the 2024 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, and a presentation of the topic by Members of
the Nobel Committee.
