Dear researchers,
the academy has now published the programme memorandums of the Academy programmes that will be open for applications starting on April
2nd.
You can find the programme memorandums through the links and they are available both in Finnish and English.
http://www.aka.fi/fi/rahoitus/hae-rahoitusta/
http://www.aka.fi/en/funding/apply-for-funding/
There are some minor differences in who can apply between the programs so please read the programme-specific eligibility criteria.
As for the
Molecular Regulatory Networks of Life (R’Life)- programme, there will be two calls: One
for new applicants and one for those who already have academy funding ongoing.
Criteria:
The funding can be applied for by consortia composed of two or several research teams. The consortium parties may represent one or several research organisations. The applicant
may be assigned as a consortium PI in only one letter of intent. A consortium application is an application built around a joint research plan, where each party to the consortium applies for funding from the Academy. The Academy treats the consortium application
as a single application, although the funding is granted to each subproject separately. Consortium compositions cannot be changed after the call deadline has expired. Applications for funding cannot be submitted under both R’Life calls simultaneously. If an
applicant applies for funding from both calls, the Academy will only review the first application submitted. Applications that are not reviewed will not be eligible for funding. PI of the project must be a researcher with a doctoral degree or at the professor
or docent level. In addition, the applicant must have a close connection with Finland to support the implementation of a multi-year project. This connection must be described in the application.
Budgets are prepared according to the full cost model.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask and we will be happy to review and help you out with the applications.
Best regards,
Emma
