Subject: Kontinkangas Research Seminar, Thursday Oct 5, NOTE start at 1500(-16) in F202
Dear all,
Next week on Thursday Oct 5, starting
NOTE! at 1500-in F202 we will have a seminar session (15.00-16) with two speakers:
The title of his presentation is:
Mining proteomics datasets for evidence of proteolysis in disease – from SARS-CoV-2 infection to connective tissue disorders
The title of his presentation is
Proteases in prostate cancer.
More information about Dr. Peter Bell:
Dr. Bell’s research in Vancouver is focused on the development of proteomics methods, biochemical assays, computational predictions and
data mining approaches for the discovery and validation of protease substrates. Recently, these approaches have been applied to characterize the cellular ‘degradome’ during SARS-CoV-2 infection.
Dr. Bell is a visiting research associate supported by the Fibrobesity programme for the period October 2-6 2023, hosted by Dr. Pirjo
Åström’s research laboratory.
