Dear Kontinkangas Campus people,

The Science Day of Kontinkangas Campus was arranged on October 28. We had lectures by invited speakers and by our own researchers. We had poster presentation, and get-together session.

The jury chose the best oral presentations:

*Yuan Wang: “BIODIVERSITY IN EARLY RESIDENTIAL ENVIRONMENT AND CHILDHOOD ASTHMA AND ATOPIC DERMATITIS IN FINLAND”

*Sini Skarp: “UNC45A CONTRIBUTES TO PROFIBROTIC PROCESSES IN THE MYOCARDIUM OF SUDDEN CARDIAC DEATH VICTIMS”

The jury chose the best poster:

*Cassandra P. Gonzalez: MAUE, A NEW BACTERIAL DISULFIDE BOND FORMATION PATHWAY  

And the audience voted for the best poster:

*Khaled Elkhouly: INVESTIGATING VASCULARIZATION IN HUMAN SYNOVIAL MEMBRANE IN OSTEOARTHRITIS AND RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS USING CONTRAST-ENHANCED X-RAY MICROSCOPE IMAGING

The best theses from the year 2024 were announced:
