Setting experiences against expectations in personal narratives on talking
about weight in healthcare encounters
This time we will be close to patients’ experience and a human sciences perspective.
Maarit will share her presentation and reflections of the received comments in The 12th annual meeting of The Language and Social Interaction Working Group (LANSI), New York. Maarit’s research
interests include e.g. social interaction and health talk, and relating to Fibrobesity Fibro3 sub-theme she is a co-PI in the Talking Weight project which deals with discussions on patient's weight in doctor–patient interaction and in personal narratives.
