Dear senior researchers,
With the overall aim of supporting Finnish medical research to combat diseases that are devastating to humankind, the Sigrid Jusélius Foundation is announcing a global call for 1-3 positions as
Sigrid Jusélius Professors in the fields of basic, clinical, or translational medicine.
Grants will be awarded for a 5-year period. The total grant during the 5-year period is 1.25 million euro, divided over 250 000 euro/year.
The professorships will be anchored at a Finnish university in a full-time position. Only minor and time-limited affiliation with institutions abroad is allowed. The applicant’s principal research group must be in Finland.

Applicants may be of any nationality, but applicants located outside of Finland must be willing to relocate to a Finnish host institution to establish their research group there.

Applicants must have an MD, PhD or equivalent title, have docent or associate professor level qualification, and evidence of a successful and independent career in research.

Applicants currently employed in tenured, tenure-track, or permanent research positions at a Finnish university are not eligible for the position.
