Hei kaikille,

Vähän vakavammalla asialla olen nyt liikkeellä:

muistutus käytettyjen skalpellien ja neulojen, sekä muiden terävien esineiden säilytyksestä. Ei ikinä näin, kuten kuvassa (kynien ja muun tavaran seassa!). Tänään sattui (onneksi pieni) tapaturma tämän seurauksena.

Nämähän on kertakäyttöisiä, eli jos ei ole kunnollista ja turvallista teräsuojaa ja varmasti turvallista säilytyspaikkaa noille, nuo kannattaisi laittaa tuollaiseen takana näkyvään terävien esineiden roskikseen (keltainen astia kuvan taka-alalla).

Se on kuitenkin aika pieni hinta siitä, ettei kenenkään tarvitse miettiä että mitähän kemikaalia tuli vahingossa sormeen työtä tehdessä pistettyä (tai ikävämpiäkin ne seuraukset voi olla).

Pidetään siis työympäristö turvallisena ja terveellisenä kaikille, kiitos.

Dear all,

A bit more serious message today for all:

Reminder about the storage of used scalpels, needles, and other sharp objects. Never, ever like this, as shown in the picture (next to pencils and other stuff). An accident happened today as a result of this.

These are single-use, so if there's no proper and safe needle cap, these should be placed in the sharps waste bin, like seen at the back of the picture (yellow bin).

It's a small price to pay to ensure that no one has to worry about accidentally getting a chemical-contaminated prick on their finger while working (or worse).
