PhD Student position in the Perinatal Research Team (Prof. Hallman Mikko, Prof. Rämet Mika) at the Medical Research Center Oulu, MRC Oulu.
The group of Perinatal Research Team studies on prematurity and the factors that are causing spontaneous preterm births. We currently focus on hypothesis-free approaches including proteomics, transcriptomics and genomics and investigate regulation of causative pathways of preterm birth. The position is for a PhD student with MSc degree. Initially, the funding is available for three years and the contract will include a trial period of four months.
The successful occupation of the position requires MSc degree with good grades, good communication skills as well as the ability to pursue independent research.
The salary will be based on the demand levels 2-4 of the salary system in Finnish Universities including a supplementary component based on personal performance.
