Poistin max henkilömäärää osoittavat laput toimistojen ja labrojen ovista. Odottelen vielä virallisempaa tietoa yliopistolta ennen kuin laitan mahdollisesti uusia lappusia oviin. Turvaväli on edelleen 1-2 m, mikä määrittelee, että mikä on maksimi henkilömäärä per huone/tila.

I removed the max number of people notices from the doors of the offices and labs. I'm waiting for more information from the university before possibly putting new information on the doors. The safety distance is still 1-2 m, which determines what is the maximum number of people per room / space.

Oulun yliopisto on päivittänyt korona-ajan ohjeita 10. elokuuta 2020. CRC:n osalta tilakohtaiset riskiarvioinnit tullaan päivittämään ensi viikon aikana. Mutta tässä muutama toimistoihin liittyvä kommentti etukäteen, jotka ovat voimassa heti:
- Toimistojen maksimihenkilömäärät:
o "Max. 1 person in this room" muuttuu "Max. 1-2 persons in this room, Keep the distance 1-2 m"
o "Max. 2 persons in this room" muuttuu "Max. 2-3 persons in this room, Keep the distance 1-2 m"
- Työpaikalle ei saa tulla oireisena tai jos epäilee altistuneensa koronavirukselle.
- Etätyön tekeminen jatkuu kaikissa niissä tehtävissä, joissa se on mahdollista ja järkevää.

The University of Oulu has updated the Corona instructions on August 10, 2020. For CRC, premises risk assessments will be updated latest next week. But here are a few office-related comments in advance that are effective right away:
- Maximum number of staff in offices:
o "Max. 1 person in this room" will change into "Max. 1-2 persons in this room, Keep the distance 1-2 m"
o "Max. 2 persons in this room" will change into "Max. 2-3 persons in this room, Keep the distance 1-2 m"
- Do not enter the workplace if you have suitable symptoms or if you suspect infection.
- The remote work recommendation will continue for now in all those tasks where it is possible.

Yliopistolta ei ole tullut vielä päivityksiä/muutoksia 14.5.2020 ilmoitettuihin työskentelyohjeisiin koronepidemian aikana. Eli ohjeiden mukaan etätyösuositus jatkuu ja turvaväli on 2 metriä. Päivityksiä näihin ohjeisiin on ymmärtääkseni tulossa lähiaikoina.

The University has not yet given any updates/changes to the work instructions announced on 14 May 2020 during the coronary epidemic. In other words, according to the instructions, the distant working recommendation continues and the safety distance is 2 meters. Updates to these guidelines might be coming soon.

Today, I took disposable face masks to the cell culture rooms. We received these through a joint order from the faculty. In 357B cell culture room, these masks can be found on the table next to the gloves. In the 344B room, the face masks can be found next to the sink. Let me know when more of these are needed.

Lähetin tänään CRC:n sähköpostilistalle dekaani Anne Remeksen viestin liittyen yliopistolla työskentelyyn 14.5. alkaen. Teen CRC:n tilojen uudet riskiarvioinnit tämän viikon aikana. Näin alustavasti halusin tiedottaa seuraavaa:
· CRC:llä on kahden kokoisia toimistoja, kahden hengen (n. 12 m2) ja kolmen hengen (n. 18 m2). Henkilöiden välisestä turvaetäisyydestä (2 m) johtuen, jatkossa kahden hengen toimistossa voi oleskella vain yksi henkilö ja kolmen hengen toimistossa kaksi henkilöä. Etätyö on edelleen suositus. Jos toimistoihin on "tunkua", voitte keskenänne sopia, että kuka työskentelee toimistossa ja milloin. Eli 2 metrin turvavälistä on huolehdittava.
· Parityöskentelyssä toimikaa mahdollisimman lyhyen aikaa yhdessä ja käyttäkää hengityssuojaimia. Hengityssuojaimia löytyy jokaisesta tutkimusryhmästä. Jos hengityssuojaimet loppuvat, minulta voi tulla pyytämään jonkin verran lisää. Pyrimme saamaan hengityssuojaimia lisää tiedekunnan yhteisen tilauksen kautta.

I forwarded today a message from Dean Anne Remes to the CRC mailing list regarding working at the university as of May 14. I will prepare new risk assessments of CRC facilities this week. But initially I wanted you to know the following:
· CRC has offices of two sizes, rooms for two (approx. 12 m2) and three (approx. 18 m2) persons. Due to the current safety distance between the persons (2 m), only one person can stay in the smaller office (12 m2) and two people in the bigger office (18 m2). Remote working is still recommended. If there are more people willing to work in the offices, you can agree among yourselves who will work in the office and when. In other words, a safety distance of 2 meters must be ensured.
· When working in pairs, work together for as short a time as possible and wear surgical masks. At the moment, surgical masks can be found in each research group. If these masks run out, you can ask some from me. We are working to get more surgical masks through a joint order from the faculty.

CRC:n tiloihin on nyt tehty riskiarvioinnit. Riskiarvioinnit ovat nähtävillä laboratoriotilojen ovissa. Soluviljelytiloissa voi tällä hetkellä työskennellä yksi henkilö/huone. Soluviljelytiloissa kahden hengen läsnäolo vaatii hengityssuojainten käytön. Olemme tilanneet hengityssuojaimia, ilmoitan kun nämä ovat saapuneet.

Risk assessments have now been carried out at CRC's premises. Risk assessments can be seen at the doors of the laboratories. Please notice that one person/room can currently work in cell culture rooms. In cell culture rooms, the presence of two people requires the use of respirators. We have ordered these respirators, I will notify you when these have arrived.

Vararehtorilta saadun ohjeistuksen suhteen tavoitteena on ensisijaisesti etätyö. Lyhyet tai muutamat yksittäiset käynnit eivät tarvitse lupaa ja näitä ei ole tarve kirjata lupalistoille. Eli:
- etätyö on lähtökohta ja läsnäolo yliopiston tiloissa vain välttämättömiin tarpeisiin. - tutkijatohtorit voivat jonkin aikaa olla etänä. - väitöskirjatyöntekijät, jotka työskentelevät laboratoriossa saattavat tarvita luvat. - luvan voi antaa myöhemminkin jos tarvetta ilmenee.

Regarding guidance from the Vice Rector, the primary purpose is telework. Short or a few individual visits do not require permission and there is no need to record them on the authorization lists. So:
- teleworking is the starting point and presence in the university premises only for essential needs. - postdoctoral researchers can be away for some time. - PhD students who work in the laboratory may need permission to work in the university premises. - permissions can be granted later if the need arises.
