Hi, FYI, below an invitation to two webinars which could be of interest. Many of the UO researchers are familiar with the Olink proteomics. There will also be an on-site seminar in Oulu, more information about that will be available later. Best wishes, Ritva ********

We want to invite you to our Olink Technical Webinars on April 17 and 24. We announced the release of our new data story, “Proteomics of Disease Risk” in Olink Insighthttps://insight.olink.com/, where our amazing Data Science team has analyzed the UKB-PPP data from 50,000 individuals to estimate the effects of nearly 3,000 proteins on the future risk of more than 100 diseases. There is a significant value-add to our users, providing an invaluable resource from experiment planning and study design to downstream data analysis of NPX values. With this new data layer, researchers can easily annotate, search, and export disease risk associations for any biomarkers of interest (out of the Olink Explore 3072 library), giving disease revelations in just a few clicks.
Great design, great data - From planning to analysis - Proteomics at your fingertips with Insight
Webinar date: 17th April 2024, 2PM EET. For registration click here https://info.olink.com/olink-technical-webinars-q1
Join us as we continue our “Great design, great data” mini-tech series. In this session, our technical experts will dig into the tools in Olink Insight that help guide you through your proteomics journey. Using publicly available data from a COVID-19 study as an example, we learn how to identify strong biomarkers, explore protein expression profiles, and demonstrate how proteomics data can be analyzed and visualized. From study planning through statistical analysis, this tech session will provide you with the tools to plan effective studies and generate actionable results.
Key learning objectives
* Explore tools for comprehensive study planning, including identifying strong biomarker candidates for your disease area * How to use, upload, and create your gene or protein target lists and let Olink Insight map their active pathways and molecular functions. * Learn to leverage tools for power analysis and sample size determination * Explore statistical tools to identify biomarker signatures, and learn how to compare and visualize protein expression profile

Unlocking disease risk insights: explore the UK Biobank data enhanced with Olink analytical expertise.
Webinar date: 24th April 2024, 4PM EET. For registration click herehttps://www.labroots.com/webinar/unlocking-disease-risk-insights-explore-uk-biobank-data-enhanced-olink-analytical-expertise
Over the past few decades, protein analysis and proteomics have emerged as crucial tools in disease risk assessment, providing a more holistic understanding of susceptibility to diseases and disease progression. During this webinar, you will learn how Olink used protein measurements and longitudinal healthcare data from a new UKB dataset from 50,000 individuals to estimate the effects of nearly 3,000 proteins on the future risk of more than 100 diseases. The full results from this analysis are available as an open-access downloadable resource, allowing you to easily annotate, search, and export disease risk associations for your biomarkers of interest. Data presentation will be followed by a demonstration of Olink Insighthttps://insight.olink.com/, our open-access, online knowledge, and analytics portal, to get a quick and friendly access to these data. Don't miss this opportunity to harness the power of this unique dataset to advance your disease research.
Key learning objectives
* Understand how Olink leveraged the new UKB database to estimate the effects of nearly 3,000 proteins on the future risk of more than 100 diseases. * Discover how to leverage this data for uncovering disease-specific biomarkers or elucidating the involvement of biomarkers across multiple diseases * Gain insights into the 48 proteins identified with statistically significant associations across a wide spectrum of diseases.
I hope you have a great day and weekend ahead.
Med vänlig hälsning | Best Regards,
Nico
