Aim                            To get acquainted with modern imaging technologies  and collecting of images of living and fixed cultured cells as well as tissues using video microscope, laser scanning confocal microscope,  electron microscope and optical tomography methods

Registration    Registration for lectures recommended, registration for the demonstrations obligatory.  Only 16 students are accepted for demonstrations.     The  application with a short description of the research project should be sent to Sinikka Eskelinen by September 28, 2007. Preference will be given to students whose projects best benefit the topics of the demonstrations given during the course.

2. Olympus confocal microscope 2 equipped with second laser: photoactivatable marker proteins in living cells, room 422A

3.  Live cell imaging 1 using Olympus inverted microscope and Okolab chamber: long term cell culture and wound healing, room 421A
