We are happy to host two outstanding guest speakers, accompanied by excellent set of local researchers. More info about each speaker by clicking the hyperlink in the speaker’s name). Brief introductions of the guest speakers below.

Prof. Paulina Salminen, MD, PhD, FACS (Hon), Professor of Surgery, University of Turku; Chief of Surgery, Turku University Hospital, Turku. She is absolutely a top in her field: nationally and internationally highly honoured and awarded clinician and scientist and has been working as an upper-gi specialist at Turku University Hospital with clinical interest mainly focusing on metabolic bariatric surgery and acute care surgery. It is a great honour to have her in Oulu!

Qing-Jun Meng

Prof. Qing-Jun Meng, Chair, Division of Cell Matrix Biology & Regenerative Medicine, Wellcome Centre for Cell-Matrix Research Manchester, UK. He is a Professor of Chronobiology and recognized and holds excellence as well known researcher in matrix biology. He already has established co-operations also with researchers I Oulu, and during his visit it is possible to have additional discussions with him to extend cooperations. If you meet him in person beyond the FibroHealth Symposium programme. please contact Ali Mobasheri or Valerio Izzi for further details to book a slot.
