Dear LM users,

New user trainings are available again for the systems where it is possible to maintain 2 m safety distance, and two users per room is allowed. All other hygiene rules remain the same.

Dear light microscopy core facility users,

Due to the evolving situation with the coronavirus, LM core facility will implement new policies to reduce personal contacts. All new user trainings have been cancelled. Staff focuses on maintaining the instruments and urgent trouble-shooting. Independent usage of the systems is possible with the following regulations in addition to strict hygiene instructions:

Only one user per session is allowed to work with a microscope. If the room has two microscopes, please follow the rule to keep the safe distance, or try to book the systems so, that it is possible to work alone in the room.
Avoid using oculars, but if they are used, wipe them clean with soft tissue soaked with 70% ethanol. DO NOT rub the glass, focus on cleaning the parts of the eyepiece (plastic/rubber cups) possibly touching your skin. Use your eye glasses if possible.
Usage of clean gloves is recommend when operating devices, keyboard and mouse.
All data processing and analysis should be performed offline/home.
