Dear Doctoral Students,

Some of you are considering submitting an application in response to the “Open Call for 107 doctoral student positions at the University of Oulu”, and many of you are asking whether you must submit all the documents requested (e.g. diplomas etc) “because you have already submitted them when you applied to UniOGS”.

The answer is: yes, ALL applicants must submit ALL documents requested.

The reason for this is as follows.

The UniOGS central administration is not involved in the selection of the students to the positions. The selection of students to these positions is made by the Doctoral Programme selection committees. These committees do not have access to the documents you submitted for admission to UniOGS. As the selection is based on merit according to the criteria defined in the call and sub-calls, the doctoral programmes must be able to compare the applicants according to these criteria. They can only do that if YOU provide the information. No documents = no information.

All the best,

Tony
