Seminar on Biomimetics:
“Innovations Inspired by Nature”
Welcome to join this multidisciplinary seminar on Biomimetics!
Biomimetics (or biomimicry) means the imitation of the models, systems, and elements of nature for the purpose of solving complex human problems. It is an interdisciplinary field in which principles from engineering, chemistry and biology are applied to the
synthesis of materials, synthetic systems or machines that have functions that mimic biological processes. Biomimetic designs could be used for example in regenerative medicine, tissue engineering and drug delivery, urban design and even art.
