Short-term postdoctoral positions in the profiling theme FIBROBESITY – Preventing Fibrosis Related to Obesity

Postdoctoral positions are open in Fibrobesity for 2021 via an internal call. The duration of these fixed-term positions can vary between 1-6 months. The positions will be based in one of the following faculties: Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine, Faculty of Humanities or Faculty of Education.

Submit your application by May 16!

We offer you an option to:

-      perform an active research period under FIBROBESITY in your already ongoing project, or
-      prepare a research plan to apply for funding for a new FIBROBESITY research initiative, or
-      prepare a publication relating to FIBROBESITY, or
-      develop new or already existing national or international collaborations under FIBROBESITY.

FIBROBESITY in a nutshell:

· Fibrobesity – Preventing Fibrosis Related to Obesity

· Targets the triad of obesity, cellular deprivation of oxygen and fibrosis

· One of the three new research themes supported by the Academy of Finland PROFI6 funding (2021-2026)

· Continuation of the University of Oulu’s PROFI3 Fibrosis Diseasome under the profile field “FibroHealth – Combatting Fibrosis in Chronic Diseases”
