CRC:n soluviljelijöiden kokous ti 19.10.21

Yhteenveto

1. Inkubaattoreihin hiilidioksidia vievät putket tullaan vaihtamaan kaasuputkiin. Antti on CRC:ltä mukana koordinoimassa muutostöitä. Työn aikana kaikki kaapit poistetaan muutamaksi päiväksi toiminnasta. Remonttia suunnitellaan vuodenvaihteeseen (uuden vuoden ja loppiaisen väliin) jolloin suurin osa soluviljelystä on tauolla. Keskusteltiin, millainen tilanne soluviljelyssä on eri ryhmien osalta tuona ajankohtana. Gynen projektiin saapuvien potilasnäytteiden osalta varaudutaan mahdolliseen varakaappiin (yhteydenotto Virpi Glumoffiin).

Putkien vaihdon jälkeen tekninen jaosto tarkistaa vielä kaappien kaasun. Samoin, ennen kaappien käyttöönottoa ne kannattaa steriloida.

2. Anja tekee mykoplasmatestin joulukuussa. Hän ottaa näytteitä vastaan 10.12. saakka.

3. Laminaarikaapit on puhdistettu ISS:n toimesta. Tarkoitus on jatkossakin tilata laminaarien pesu vuosittain vetokaappien pesun yhteyteen.

4. Muuta yleistä asiaa:

- muistakaa siirtää soluampullit nestetyppeen -70C:een pakkasista!

- uusi gradutyöntekijä soluviljelyyn: Heli Miettinen (Ekku, Viivi ja Pirjo huolehtivat perehdytyksestä)

- 342B mikroskoopin puhdistaminen, Nina opastaa

- suojahuput mikroskoopeille on tarpeen

Summary

1. Pipes that carry the carbon dioxide into the incubators will be replaced. Antti is involved from the CRC in planning the reconstruction work. During the work, all incubators are removed from operation for a few days. The renovation is planned for the beginning of the next year (between the New Year and Loppiainen) when most of the cell culture is on pause. The situation in cell culture for different groups at that time was discussed in the meeting. With regard to patient samples arriving to Gyne, preparations are made for a possible spare incubators (contact Virpi Glumoff).

After the pipes have been replaced, the technical support will check the gas in the cabinets. Also, it is a good time to sterilize the incubators before using them again.

2. Anja runs the mycoplasma test in December. She will take samples until 10.12.

3. The laminars were all cleaned by ISS. This practice is planned to be annual in the future.

4. Other general matters:

- remember to move the cell ampoules to liquid nitrogen from -70C!

- new master's degree student in cell culture: Heli Miettinen (Ekku, Viivi and Pirjo take care of the orientation)

- cleaning the microscope in 342B, Nina helps

- protective hoods for microscopes are needed
