Welcome to learn more from intellectual property rights!

University Innovation Centre is arranging this spring courses from intellectual property rights (IP). Copyrights, patents and trademarks are in the news almost daily.

IP rights do not have meaning only in business life. Research work produces and utilizes also IP rights. Come to listen to interesting talks and learn how you can protect and utilize your results more efficiently! Know-how from IP rights is an important part of working life skills.

Courses are:

IP rights and research (0.5 ECTS)

Time:            26^th March 2019 at 12.15-16 (part 1/2) and 27^th March 2019 at 9.15-12 (part 2/2)

To whom:      PhD students, researchers, group leaders, students and all interested in IP rights

Learning outcomes: The participant gets a good overview from different forms of IPR (e.g. copyrights, patents, trademarks) and how he/she should take IPR into account when giving lectures, publishing results or planning a new business based on his/her know-how or an invention.

Utilization of patent databases in research  (0.5 ECTS)

Time:             9^th May 2019 at 9.15-16

Learning outcomes: The participant gets a good overview from principles of patenting, reading patent publications and searching patent databases.
