Subject: VL: TG core operates!

Dear all,

BCO Transgenic core facility is able to operate under these circumstances by following strict safety regulations given by the University of Oulu (https://patio.oulu.fi/en/news/detailed-regulations-working-university-premises-during-exceptional-circumstances-1832020).

We can provide services related to gene modified mice such as cryopreservation. In the current situation, each project needs to be carefully planned with the TG core personnel and in cooperation with Laboratory Animal Centre. Please, contact either Reetta Vuolteenaho (reetta.vuolteenaho@oulu.fi) or Reetta Hinttala (reetta.hinttala@oulu.fi) for further information.

Tissue slide scanner is in operation as usual. For new sample orders, email: reetta.vuolteenaho@oulu.fi; salla.kangas@oulu.fi; kirsi.sakkinen@oulu.fi; hanna.seppala@oulu.fi; sanna.kauppinen@oulu.fi

When working in the histology lab follow these instructions:

• use the equipment only if you have made the reservation
• max 5 persons at a time in the room
• keep at least 2 meters distance to others or wear a face mask (not provided) if working in pairs
• wear clean gloves
• clean all working surfaces and the equipment with 70% EtOH before and after the work
