FIBROBESITY in a nutshell:

• Fibrobesity – Preventing Fibrosis Related to Obesity
• Targets the triad of obesity, cellular deprivation of oxygen and fibrosis

• One of the three new research themes supported by the Academy of Finland PROFI6 funding (2021-2026)
• Continuation of the University of Oulu’s PROFI3 Fibrosis Diseasome under the profile field “FibroHealth – Combatting Fibrosis in Chronic Diseases”
