Sigrid Juselius Foundation Senior Researcher funding is open, deadline 15.10.

“The Sigrid Jusélius Senior researcher”– posts are awarded for a period of four (4) years, and they are designed for independent medical researchers who have earned an adjunct professor (Docent) or have corresponding scientific competence but do not have posts or employment contracts as researchers for the period for which the grant is awarded.

The grants of EUR 700 000 for 4 years are paid to the researcher’s employer, with whom the researcher will make an employment contract. Clinical researchers can also agree on a part-time role with their clinical employer (similarly to part-time roles of universities’ full-time doctors). The work is expected to begin by agreement.

Novo Nordisk Foundation: Pioneer Innovator Grant, deadline 8.10

The Pioneer Innovator Grant is a stimulus fund established to accelerate commercialization of research findings and development of novel technologies within the health sciences.

The Pioneer Innovator Grant seeks to support research within Life Science (medtech, industrial biotech, or pharma) and to stimulate the evaluation of ideas that may lead to the development of new medical treatment, disease prevention, diagnostic methods as well as new health technologies and devices to benefit people and society.

For the Pioneer Innovator Grant, the main applicant can be a faculty member, researcher, and student employed at universities, hospitals, or other knowledge institutions in the Nordic countries (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland). Projects from incubator development programs are also eligible.
