Soluviljelijöiden kokous to 22.2.2024

Yhteenveto

1. Hiilidioksidin viimeaikaisen korkean kulutuksen syy saatiin paikannettua soluviljelylabrassa 342B sijaitsevaan inkubaattoriin. Vaihto-osa on nyt saapunut ja se tullaan asentamaan ti 5.3. Asennustyötä varten tilan molemmat inkubaattorit tulee tyhjentää. Viljelyssä olevat solut voi tarvittaessa siirtää väliaikaisesti 341B laboratorion inkubaattoriin (jos tila sen sallii ja asiasta sovitaan ennakkoon).

2. Soluviljelytilassa 342B toimii tällä hetkellä aktiivisesti gynen ja ihotautien tutkimusryhmät, joiden tutkijat huolehtivat tilan yleisesti siisteydestä ja säännöllisistä siivous- ja huoltotoimista.

3. Anatomian tutkimusryhmä oli mukana kokouksessa. Keskustelimme heidän mahdollisesta soluviljelytilan tarpeesta CRC:llä ja kuinka sitä saattaa ilmetä aika ajoin jatkossa.

4. Anja tekee mykoplasmatestin seuraavaksi ennen kesää.

5. Keskusteltiin nestetyppitankkien tilanteesta. Uusimassa on vapaata tilaa. Kehoitetaan kaikki tarkistamaan ja päivittämään sähköiset listat pakastetuista solulinjoista.

6. Seuraava kokous to 18.4.24 klo 12.30 CRC:n kahvihuoneessa.

Cell culture meeting Thu 22 February 2024

Summary

1. The cause of the recent high consumption of carbon dioxide was located in the incubator in cell culture lab 342B. The replacement part has now arrived and it will be installed on Tue 5.3. For the installation work, both incubators in the lab must be emptied. If necessary, the cells can be temporarily transferred to the 341B laboratory incubator (if the space allows it and this is agreed in advance).

2. Gynecology and dermatology research groups are currently active in cell culture facility 342B, whose researchers take care of the regular cleaning and maintenance.

3. The anatomy research group participated in the meeting. We discussed their possible need for a cell culture facility at CRC and how it might appear from time to time in the future.

4. Anja will carry out the mycoplasma test next before the summer.

5. The situation with liquid nitrogen tanks was discussed. There is still free space in the most recently purchased one. Everyone is encouraged to check and update the electronic lists containing their cryopreserved cell lines.

6. The next meeting is on Thursday 18 April 24 at 12:30 in the CRC coffee room.
