Innovation Services is arranging this autumn two courses from intellectual property rights (IP). Copyrights, patents and trademarks are in the news almost daily.

IP rights do not have meaning only in business life. Research work produces also IP rights. Come to listen to interesting talks and learn how you can protect and utilize your results more efficiently! Know-how from IP rights is an important part of working life skills.

Courses are:

IP rights and research (0.5 ECTS)

Time:             5^th October 2016 at 9.15-16

Learning outcomes: The participant gets a good overview from different forms of IPR (e.g. copyrights, patents, trademarks) and how he/she should take IPR into account when giving lectures, publishing results or planning a new business based on his/her know-how or an invention.

Patenttitietokantojen käyttö tutkimuksessa / Utilization of patent databases in research  (0.5 ECTS)

Time:             8^th December 2016 at 9.15-16 (in Finnish) and 11^th May 2017 at 9.15-16.00 (in English)
