Hyvät Lääketieteellisen tiedekunnan henkilöstö ja opiskelijat (in English below)

Toivottavasti teillä kaikilla on ollut miellyttävä ja rentouttava kesä. Toivotan teidät tervetulleiksi aloittamaan uutta akateemista lukuvuotta ja vaikka koronaepidemian aiheuttama poikkeustilanne jatkuukin, toivotan teille kaikille hyvää alkavaa syyslukukautta. Alla yliopiston päivitetyt linjaukset koronaohjeisiin liittyen sekä yleisohjeet lääketieteellisen tiedekunnan opetusjärjestelyistä. Kehotan kaikkia perehtymään niihin noudattamaan niitä huolella.

Oulun yliopisto on päivitetyt koronaohjeet:

• Etätyösuositus jatkuu toistaiseksi.
• Kokoukset suositellaan pidettäviksi etä- tai hybridikokouksina, joihin voi osallistua joko paikan päällä tai etänä. Yliopiston tiloissa on aina noudatettava annettuja terveys- ja turvallisuusohjeita. Suu-nenäsuojainta suositellaan käytettäväksi vähintään niissä tilanteissa, joissa lähikontaktien välttäminen on vaikeaa.
• Työpaikalle ei saa tulla oireisena tai jos epäilee altistuneensa koronavirukselle.
• Tarpeellinen lähiopetus on mahdollista. Liian suuria osallistujamääriä samassa opetustilassa on kuitenkin vältettävä. Tämä tarkoittaa, että henkilömäärä ja tilan koko sekä etäisyydet on huomioitava. Täsmällistä henkilömäärärajoitusta ei ole asetettu. Opetustavasta päättää opintojakson vastuuopettaja.
• Väitöstilaisuudet voidaan järjestää normaaliin tapaan, mutta aiemman suunnitelman mukaan niihin tarjotaan mahdollisuus osallistua etänä 31.12.2021 saakka.
• Omalla ilmoituksella tapahtuvan sairaspoissaolojakson enimmäispituus on palautettu normaaliin kolmeen (3) vuorokauteen.

Opetusjärjestelyt lääketieteellisessä tiedekunnassa: Koko kurssia koskevat massaopetukset kuten luennot, seminaarit, teemapäivät ja tentit suositellaan toistaiseksi pidettäväksi etänä. Ryhmäopetuksia voidaan toteuttaa lähiopetuksena yliopiston ohjeet huomioiden.

Dear staff and students of the Faculty of Medicine

I hope you all have had a pleasant and relaxing summer. I welcome you to start a new academic year, and despite continuation of the exceptional situation caused by the corona epidemic, I wish you all pleasant autumn and to the semester. Below are the university's updated guidelines related to corona instructions and general instructions on the teaching arrangements of the Faculty of Medicine. I urge everyone to familiarize themselves with them and follow them carefully.

The University of Oulu has updated the Corona instructions:

• Remote work recommendation continues
• Meetings are recommended to be held as remote and hybrid meetings, which can be attended either on campus or remotely. On the university premises, the provided health and safety guidelines must always be followed. It is recommended to use mouth-nose mask at least in situations, in which it is difficult to avoid close contact.
• Necessary classroom teaching on campus is possible, and the mode of teaching is decided by the responsible teacher of the course. Too large numbers of participants in the same teaching space must be avoided, but no precise number of persons limit has been imposed. The size and distances of the space should be taken into account.
• Dissertations can be organized as normal, but in accordance with the earlier plan also possibility for a remote participation will be offered until 31st of Dec, 2021
• You must not enter the workplace if you have symptoms or if you suspect you have been exposed to coronavirus.
• Maximum number of calendar days for sick leave based on own notification without medical certificate is back to normal three (3) calendar days.

Teaching in the faculty of medicine: Teaching events concerning whole class such as lectures, seminars, theme days and exams are recommended to be organized remotely. Contact teaching can be arranged in groups providing that university´s guidelines and instructions will be followed.
