Postdoctoral position

 

A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Juha Grönholm in Translational Immunology Program at the University of Helsinki and the Pediatric Research Center, HUS

Helsinki University Hospital. The focus of the recently established group is to understand the molecular mechanisms of primary immunodeficiency diseases and signaling pathways in the

immune response. The project will be conducted in a close collaboration with clinicians and international collaborators.

 

The successful candidate will have:

• PhD or MD/PhD degree (or similar experience) in a relevant field of life sciences and

background in the area of cellular/molecular biology

• Has excellent skills in experimental laboratory work (especially in cell culture and with

primary cells)

• Previous experience in immunology and hands on experience in flow cytometry are

advantageous

• Able to conduct independently research projects

• Good collaboration and communications skills

• Has fluent spoken and written English

 

The position will be funded with a grant from Emil Aaltonen foundation.
