Dear Oulu Colleagues,

This is a brief reminder to you all to please join us at Tellus Backstage next Tuesday 24 January from 9am – 11:30am for CitizANTS Symposium: An Introduction to Citizen Science at Oulu

The event is open to all who are curious about citizen science. No prior knowledge or experience needed! We will discuss what citizen science is, what role it plays in Science (and at Oulu), and showcase some interesting work currently being carried out by Oulu colleagues involving citizen science.

There will be a catered lunch served from 11:30-12:30. There are limited seats so please register in advance – by latest end of day today, Thursday 19 Jan – by clicking here: https://link.webropolsurveys.com/S/F00E01E9F0DFB550.

This symposium is the first in a packed programme of Citizen Science activities that Biodiverse Anthropocenes is bringing to Oulu in the Spring Semester.

We hope very much that you will join – even if you are just curious about what citizen science is and how you might use it to your advantage in your own research.

Warmly,

Roger Norum
