Today!
Dear all,
Next Thursday, September 25, at15.15-16 in F202 Pharmacology there will be a seminar by Professor
Derek Logan from SciLifeLab and Department of Biochemistry and Structural Biology, Lund University, Sweden. The title of the seminar is
“The amazingly versatile ATP-cone domain and its role in ribonucleotide reductase regulation”.
More information about his research and publications
https://www.scilifelab.se/researchers/derek-logan/
“My research probes biological structure-function relationships using X-ray and neutron diffraction, cryo-electron microscopy, small-angle X-ray scattering, cross-linking mass spectrometry, biophysical and biochemical
analyses. Two particular current focus areas are allosteric regulation of the essential enzyme ribonucleotide reductase, at both the enzyme and transcriptional levels, as well as drug design against the galectin family of carbohydrate binding proteins.”
Welcome everybody! No registration required.
Coffee is served during networking session 20 min before the presentation time.
Field specific credits can be earned according to
UniOGS recommendations
(attendance at scientific seminars for 10 hours: 0,5ECTS)
If you would like to have separate discussions with the speaker, please contact
Teija.luoto@oulu.fi who will set up the meeting time.
Organized by Biocenter Oulu, Health and Biosciences Doctoral Programme and PROFI6 Fibrobesity.
See updated programme below.
