Travel Grant Opportunities for Visits to the U.S. in 2026–27

 

Applications are now open for three Fulbright Finland travel grant programs supporting short-term visits (1 week to 3 months) to the United States in 2026–27.

These grants enable researchers (including doctoral students), faculty, and higher education representatives to initiate or advance research collaboration and build institutional partnerships with U.S. institutions.

Finnish secondary school teachers and administrators: Application period for the Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) for Secondary School Educators, academic summer programs at U.S. universities in international groups of educators, will be launched soon! Program related costs are covered. 

"The SUSI 2025 experience demonstrated that cultural exchange is most powerful when it is grounded not only in academic inquiry, but also in shared work, celebration, and fellowship," SUSI alumna Emma Marjakangas writes in her blog post.
