What is 6G-FSS about?

6G-Future sustainable society is a multidisciplinary research theme supported by the Academy of Finland Profi6 funding (2021-2026) strengthening the strategy of the University of Oulu.

6G-FSS includes four faculties: Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Technology and Oulu Business School.

6G-FSS leverages the technological expertise of the 6G Flagship to do world-class interdisciplinary research for a data-driven, hyperconnected future society with democratic healthcare and energy-thrifty power systems.

Now 6G-FSS will recruit talented researchers to link their ongoing research to the themes of 6G-FSS.

The following positions are open:

5 Postdoctoral positions in the five themes of 6G-FSS (1 position/theme):

1. Citizen-centered health data solutions (6G-FSS1)

2. Ubiquitous digital care pathways and service models in secure and intelligent environments (6G-FSS2)

3. Future AI-tailored wireless hospital (6G-FSS3)

4. Sustainable energy systems empowering users with digital services (6G-FSS4)

5. Energy efficiency of digitally enabled user-centric systems (6G-FSS5)

3 Postdoctoral positions linked to the above mentioned 5 themes and focusing on:

6. Machine learning in wireless eHealth and Energy/Smart grid applications

7. Wireless 5G/6G solutions for eHealth and Energy/Smart grid applications

8. Business models for eHealth and Sustainable Energy services/Smart grid applications
