Position Summary Two postdoctoral positions are available immediately in the lab of Dr. Amynah Pradhan in the Center for Clinical Pharmacology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Our lab studies the pathophysiology of migraine and related headache disorders. We have a special interest in understanding the role of opioid receptors in migraine and identifying novel therapeutic targets for this disorder. Related projects in the lab include the development of novel therapies for opioid use disorder. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to learn and apply molecular, genetic, physiological, and behavioral tools to study mechanisms of pain/headache chronification and addiction. Washington University School of Medicine offers a highly collaborative, state of the art training and research environment in neuroscience and the biomedical sciences. * Doctoral degree in the biological sciences, or in related disciplines. * Prior experience in working with rodents, and a broad understanding in neuroscience, is strongly preferred. Working Conditions This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals. Salary Range Base pay is commensurate with experience.
