We are testing a new service on the FARIA website:
Under Wanted! | Finnish-American Research & Innovation Accelerator (faria.network)https://www.faria.network/projects one can leave project ideas or collaboration requests to find U.S.-partners (and vice versa).
If we get a decent amount of submissions, we will curate a collection of projects and integrate them in our U.S.-engagement activities, such as in newsletter, direct promotion and matching activities for funding calls etc.
In case of a very large amount of submissions, we will prioritize project ideas which are closest to FARIA focus areas, however, for the moment we welcome broad participation.
Background:
The Finnish-American Research & Innovation Accelerator (FARIA) is a strategic US-focused platform, which integrates, aligns and supports joint & associated actions of Finnish member institutions.
1. It creates visibility for Finnish RDI-excellence and simplifies contact facilitation between Finland and key-regions in the US. 2. It serves as launch pad for concrete RDI-projects from ideation over funding generation to implementation. 3. It supports an alignment of Finnish US-engagement activities
To date there are 12 Finnish universities and 4 universities of applied sciences organized in FARIA. We represent 89 % of the national RDI-power within the higher education sector.
