Aihe: [Fbmm] Special regulations in the BCO VirusCore - Important!

 

Dear all,

 

Given the coronavirus-related risks and our aim to contain epidemics for as long as possible Biocenter Virus Core will also adapt to special regulations.

Core facilities provide essential services (The University of Oulu Guidelines on Research, Development and Innovation) and therefore the operations continue albeit with the following restrictions:

  1. Maximum two people are allowed in the viruslab at any given time. Please note this and do not enter if laminars are already taken.
  2. Only one person at the time is allowed in the entrance room - AND USE ONLY YOUR OWN PERSONAL CLEAN LAB COAT! COMMON USE LABCOATS SHOULD NOT BE USED!
  3. The ultracentrifuge is mainly restricted for virus work. It is strongly advisable NOT to use the ultracentrifuge non-viruswork unless it is really essential for a key activity.
  4. Use of VirusCore-microscopy for non-viruswork related imaging IS PROHIBITED!
