Dear all,
Please note that registration is now open for the following hands-on bioinformatics courses which take place in Zoom. In the exercises we use analysis tools embedded in the free and user-friendly Chipster software (https://chipster.csc.fi/), so no previous knowledge of Unix or R is required, and the courses are thus suitable for everybody. Please feel free to spread the info to your local graduate schools.
4.-5.3.2025 Single-cell RNA-seq data analysis using Chipster The course covers the analysis from quality control and filtering to dimensional reduction, clustering, and differential expression analysis (detection of cluster marker genes). You will also learn how to do integrated analysis of multiple samples. Application deadline 12.2.2025. For more information, please see https://csc.fi/en/training-calendar/single-cell-rna-seq-data-analysis-using-...
1.-2.4.2025 Analysis of bulk RNA-seq data using Chipster The course covers the whole workflow from quality control and alignment to quantification and differential expression analysis. You will also learn how to visualize data in different ways. For more information and registration, please see https://csc.fi/en/training-calendar/analysis-of-bulk-rna-seq-data-using-chip...
8.-9.4.2025 Microbial community analysis with Chipster The course covers the whole workflow from quality control and filtering to quantification and statistical analysis using Mothur and Phyloseq tools integrated in Chipster. Please note that this course focuses on microbiome analysis of amplicon sequencing data (as opposed to metagenomics where all the genes are sequenced). For more information and registration, please see https://csc.fi/en/training-calendar/microbial-community-analysis-with-chipst...
15.5.2025 Spatial transcriptomics (Visium) data analysis with Chipster The course covers the processing of transcript counts from quality control and filtering to dimensional reduction, clustering, cell type identification and detection of spatially variable genes. You will also learn how to do integrated analysis of multiple samples. Note that in order to attend this course you need to have completed the single-cell RNA-seq course or have equivalent knowledge. For more information and registration, please see https://csc.fi/en/training-calendar/spatial-transcriptomics-visium-data-anal...
Should you have any questions regarding these courses, please don't hesitate to contact chipster@csc.fimailto:chipster@csc.fi.
Best, Eija
