CRC:n soluviljelijät kokouksen yhteenveto

  1. Soluviljelylaminaarien huolto on suoritettu 3.-5.10.2023. Tällä hetkellä käynnissä oleva ilmanvaihtokoneiston huolto voi aiheuttaa hajuhaittoja lähinnä viikonloppuisin.

 

  1. Hiilidioksidipullojen, jotka syöttävät kaasua 341B & 342B tilojen inkubaattoreihin, vaihtoväli on edelleen normaalia tiheämpi viitaten mahdolliseen vuotoon. Laboratorioiden huoneilman hiilidioksidimäärää on seurattu viikon aikana ja määrä pysyy normaalin raja-arvoissa. Seuraavaksi tekniset palvelut jatkavat vian selvittämistä tarkistamalla inkubaattoreiden toiminnan. Viikolla 1 eli ma 2.1. testataan 342B tilan molemmat kaapit jolloin ne tulee olla tyhjillään soluista. 341B tilan kaappien tarkistus tehdään tarvittaessa yksi kerrallaan myöhemmin sovittuna ajankohtana.

 

  1. Joululoma lähestyy, kaasupullojen vaihto kohonneen kulutuksen vuoksi kannattaa ajoittaa juuri ennen lomaa, sekä yhteisten kulutustarvikkeiden tilaukset huolehditaan Antin kautta hyvissä ajoin. Huomioikaa myös inkubaattoreiden hyllyjen ja vesikaukaloiden porrastettu pesu välinehuollossa.

 

  1. Keskusteltiin mahdollisista tulevista laitehankintatarpeista: mikroskooppi ja kuvantamisohjelma, sekä imusysteemi nousivat esille. Keskusteltiin myös pienemmistä, lähinnä laminaarien toiminnallisuuteen liittyvistä pienhankinnoista kuten roskiksista.

 

  1. Anja tekee mykoplasmatestin joulukuussa. Näytteet voi toimittaa hänelle viimeistään ma 18.12. aamulla ennen klo 9.

 

  1. Yleiset soluviljelyn toimintaohjeet (ks. liite) kaipaavat päivitystä. Tällä hetkellä ohjeet löytyvät jokaisesta soluviljelylabrasta printattuna sekä sähköisenä ja niihin tulisi tutustua ennen soluviljelytöiden aloittamista:

CRC cell culture meeting summary

1. Maintenance of the cell culture laminars has been carried out on 3-5 October 2023. The maintenance of the ventilation system, which is currently underway, can cause bad air quality mainly on weekends.

 

2. The carbon dioxide bottles that supply gas to the incubators in facilities 341B & 342B are emptying faster than normal, indicating a possible leak. The amount of carbon dioxide in the room air of the laboratories has been monitored during the week and it has remained within normal limits. Next, the technical services continue to solve the problem by checking the operation of the incubators. In week 1, i.e. Monday 2.1. they will test both incubators in room 342B, so they must be empty of cells. If necessary, the incubators in room 341B will be checked one at a time at a later agreed time.

 

3. The Christmas holiday is approaching, we need to take care that the CO2 bottles are exchanged just before the holiday, the orders for common consumables should be taken care of through Antti well in advance. Also note the coordinated cleaning of incubator shelves and water baths together with DWA unit.

 

4. Equipment investment needs were discussed: a microscope and an imaging program, as well as a suction system were mentioned. We also discussed smaller purchases, mostly related to the functionality of the laminars, such as garbage containers.

 

5. Anja will run a mycoplasma test in December. The samples can be delivered to her no later than Monday 18.12. in the morning before 9 o'clock.

 

6. The general operating instructions for cell culture (see appendix) need updating. The instructions can be found in every cell culture lab in print and electronically and should be provided to everyone who starts working in cell culture:
