Health and Biosciences Doctoral programme - Internal Call for Online Field Specific Course Proposals 2021 Health and Biosciences Doctoral Programme (HBS-DPhttps://www.oulu.fi/uniogs/dp/hbsdp) will allocate funding to be used during the year 2021 to organize doctoral training activities within the following Doctoral Degree Programmes: Medicine, Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine, Health Sciences, Dentistry, and Biology. The proposed doctoral training activities may comprise e.g. field-specific courses, symposia, workshops or alike targeted mainly to doctoral students. Joint or methodological courses suitable for several disciplines and courses/events arranged in local, national or international cooperation are also applicable. For the spring 2021 HBS-DP especially encourages applicants to plan online courses that enables PhD students' participation with remote connection. Face-to-face or/and practical courses that are well justified can also be proposed. However, courses involving face-to-face teaching, the organizing personnel are themselves responsible for the practicalities considering health and safety issues. Practical arrangements of the course are expected to be taken care of by the responsible course organizer. All cost covered by the doctoral programme (DP) funding must be accepted by the DP beforehand. ECTS credits from the courses should be defined in the proposal according to UniOGS recommendations (https://www.oulu.fi/uniogs/recommendations_of_ects). The proposal should contain lectures, possible reading materials or possible optional assignments thus the course could give minimum 0.5 credit points. If the number of course participants is limited, the priority is for the health and biosciences doctoral students within the University of Oulu. The persons responsible for the proposals will be informed of the decisions within 2-3 weeks. Guidelines for acceptable costs Online courses: * Direct costs related to running of the training activity (hourly rental costs for required equipment, video streaming, etc.)
