Hi,

Did you know that up 80 % of all technical information can be found only from patent publications? If you read only scientific articles you cannot get the full picture from current knowledge.

Patents are not only important when making inventions. Utilize their information also when you plan a new research project. Impress the funders!

Learn how to search patent databases and how to find most important information from patent publication. Course contains lectures but main focus is in practical exercises.

Innovation Services, University Library and UNIOGS are arranging a one day course at 7th May 2015 in Linnanmaa campus. The course will be arranged in English (in autumn similar course in Finnish, date will be informed later).

The course is for PhD students and senior researchers. Registration to WebOodi (course code 920013J), henkilöstökoulutusportaali or by email to Maarit.Jokela@oulu.fi at latest 29th April 2015.
