Dear all,
A new Leica SP8 FALCON confocal microscope has been installed at BCO Light Microscopy Core Facility and it is now ready to use. In short, the new system can do all the same as Zeiss LSM 780, but it also supports more functions and imaging modalities. System highlights are:
* White Light Laser - all possible excitation wavelengths between 470nm-670nm + 405nm * Spectral detection - all possible emission wavelengths in visible light range * Improved resolution and contrast by real time adaptive deconvolution * Improved speed and sensitivity - resonant scanner and hybrid detectors * Fully integrated Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging (FLIM)
System specifications can be found here: https://www.oulu.fi/biocenter/lm/leica-falcon-confocal and some application examples here: https://www.leica-microsystems.com/products/confocal-microscopes/p/sp8-falco...
Please contact me for arranging a user training and to gain access to maybe the most modern, sensitive, fast and versatile confocal system on the market.
Regards, Veli-Pekka Ronkainen BCO LM Core Facility
