New subject: Biocenter ABI 3500xL sequencer is out of order

      The maintenance will take place on Tue-Wed next week (5.-6.10.), so if everything goes fine we should be able to continue sequencing after that.

Hi again,
It seems that the laser of the sequencer must be changed, but the repair date has not yet been confirmed - it might take over a week.
Unfortunately there is no Genetic analyzer available for sanger sequencing in Linnanmaa either at the moment.
If you have urgent samples, you may consider sending them for example to FIMM (or other institutes):

Unfortunately the ABI 3500xL sequencer is out of order. We have contacted Techsupport, but don't know yet when the machine is working again. If you are planning to bring sanger sequencing samples, please postpone them until we have solved the problem.
