Dear members of the Finnish Atherosclerosis Society, Please remember the deadline for the Helsinki meeting is February 24th. The meeting is held in Biomedicum, Helsinki, 16.-17.3.2012. We wish to encourage all participants to submit an abstract. We received plenty of excellent abstracts as travel grant applications, and are looking forward for them to be submitted to the society’s meeting as well.

Welcome to the 6th Annual Meeting of the Finnish Atherosclerosis Society, to be held at Biomedicum, Helsinki, March 16-17, 2012. There are several hotels within reasonable distance from Biomedicum (Scandic Continental, Crowne Plaza, Sokos Hotel Pasila, Holiday Inn Messukeskus). Still, we strongly advice you to make an early hotel reservation. The meeting will begin on Friday the 16th of March at 12:00 (registration 12:00-12:30, presentations 12:30 ~ 18:00, dinner at Biomedicum). The meeting will be closed on Saturday the 17th of March (presentations 8:30-12:30 and lunch 12:30-13:30). The detailed program will be sent later.

Please e-mail your registration with or without abstract (Your name, degree e.g. graduate student, medical student, PhD student, MD, post-doctoral fellow etc., Department/Institute, e-mail address) to terhi.vihervaara@helsinki.fimailto:terhi.vihervaara@helsinki.fi by 24.2.2012. We would like to encourage ALL of you to submit abstracts to the meeting. Please e-mail your abstract toterhi.vihervaara@helsinki.fimailto:terhi.vihervaara@helsinki.fi by 24.2.2012. The abstracts should be written in English using Microsoft Word® and arranged as follows: You should limit the length of the abstract to one A4 page, using single line-spacing and Times New Roman size 12 fonts or Arial size 11 fonts.
