- The evolution of non-coding DNA
- Evolutionary genomics of the origin of humans
- Sex chromosomes and sex determination
- Phylogenomics
- Bacterial genomics and the origin of life
- Genomics of speciation
- Transposable elements and the evolution of new genes
- The origin of genome architecture
- The future of genomics.
