TWO RESEARCH SCIENTIST POSITIONS, BIOINFORMATICS AND MICROARRAY STUDIES
Applications are invited for two reseach scientist positions in the Institute of Medical Technology, University of Tampere, Finland.
One position is in EU funded project of protein kinase structure/function. We are seeking post-doctoral level candidates with strong background in one or several areas of bioinformatics.
The other position is related to microarray analysis. Experience with microarray or related technologies is required. The elected person is expected to run independent research and to collaborate with research groups at the Institute and take part in teaching related to microrarrays.
Institute of Medical Technology (http://www.uta.fi/imt) is an active research environment and has strong basic science programmes on immunology, cancer biology, mitochondrial genetics and bioinformatics. IMT Bioinformatics group (http://bioinf.uta.fi) is active in expression analysis and protein structure-function relationship studies especially in relation to human diseases.
