Good morning everyone (assuming the list email works…),

and thank you for the welcome Outi and Lumi. 

Yes, I am ashamed that I haven’t yet made it across the campus to say hello in person.  One thing leads to another…. for example, I had to travel to Jyvaskyla and then Helsinki two weeks back and missed the genetics seminar.  In any case, I shall give a talk on the 16^th after that I will know my way around…
