Geneticists' Journal Club meets again next week, on Wednesday 5 June at 14.30 in the lobby of Ympäristötietotalo. We'll read the attached paper by Gayral et al. concerning population genomics without a reference genome ("Reference-Free Population Genomics from Next-Generation Transcriptome Data and the Vertebrate–Invertebrate Gap"). I also attach a short commentary paper by Louisa Flintoft, published in Nature Reviews Genetics ("Noah's Ark Arrives").
