Urgent - Temporary housing for two incoming international master's students (one male, one female)

Dear all , this weekend (1-3rd of August), the new International Master's students will be arriving to start their bridging studies. Most of them have been able to get housing, but two have not been able to get any positive response from PSOAS yet. The students are one male student - Reduanul Bari from Bangladesh - and one female, Ramita Sulu from Nepal. The latter had a very tough time to even be able to afford coming here, as her family was hit very hard by the Nepal earthquake this spring, and she was not able to commit very late. This is the reason why PSOAS has not had time to find a place for her. If you have a place for either of them, for a few days or even a few weeks, or know about affordable housing, even temporary, please let me know. You can imagine that this is a fairly urgent manner. And as I wrote, even a few days would help for a start. Tule hakemaan lämpöä ja viettämään railakasta iltaa Teekkaritalolle OLuT:in kesäjuhliin lauantaina 29.8.! Teekkaritalon ovet avataan juhlimista varten klo 18:00. Illan aikana grilli, sauna ja tanssilattia pidetään lämpimänä! Eleven four-year doctoral student positions open in the Biocenter Oulu Doctoral Programme (BCO-DP), University of Oulu The University of Oulu, located at the heart of the globally recognized Oulu region R&D hub in Northern Finland, is an international scientific community, with 16 000 students and approximately 3 000 employees. The strenghts of the University are wide multidisciplinary study/research interests and modern research and study environment and good cooperation with international educational and research institutes.
