You can volunteer by sending email to me (lauri.rannaste(a)student.oulu.fi or tiedotus(a)histoni.fi). Before that you should gather a small group, choose a group leader and come up with an idea for your checkpoint (freshmen have to perform some kind of task to complete the checkpoint and THEY HAVE TO GET IT COMPLETED WITHOUT ANY NUDITY OR ALCOHOL). After this you should enroll your group (only the contact information of the group leader is needed and your plans for waypoint). We are especially looking for international students to maintain one or more checkpoints. Freshmen cannot enroll as checkpoint guards. The Freshmen Orienteering is held on Friday 23th of September nearby campus of Linnanmaa and it starts at 4 PM (enrollment starts at 3.45 PM). The Freshman Party is held at Koneen sauna (a map is attached) at 6 PM. There will be some music, snacks and good company. Hae mukaan Opiskelu ja perhe -nettiryhmään Tuntuuko opiskelun ja perhe-elämän yhdistäminen joskus haastavalta? Kaipaatko tukea arjessa jaksamiseen? Entä haluatko jakaa kokemuksiasi ja löytää uusia ratkaisuja? Tule mukaan Opiskelu ja perhe -nettiryhmään, jossa voit käsitellä opiskelun ja työn yhdistämiseen liittyviä haasteita yhdessä toisten samankaltaisessa elämäntilanteessa olevien kanssa. Samalla voit löytää uudenlaisia näkökulmia ja ratkaisuja omaan arkeesi. Opiskelu ja perhe -nettiryhmä alkaa 3.10. ja päättyy 28.10. Nyyti ry järjestää ryhmän yhdessä Väestöliiton sekä Suomen ylioppilaskuntien liiton (SYL) kanssa. Ryhmä on tarkoitettu kaikille perheellisille opiskelijoille ja se on maksuton. Ryhmä toteutetaan suojatussa ympäristössä (Perheaikaa.fi-palvelussa), eli keskusteluihin pääsevät osallistumaan vain ryhmän jäsenet. Ryhmässä esiinnytään nimimerkeillä. Oulun Biokemistiseura ry järjestää Tiedepläjjäyksen, poikkitieteellisen tiedettä popularisoivan tapahtuman, torstaina 15.9.2016 klo 19-21 ravintola Tubassa (Mannenkatu 2). Tiedepläjjäys tuo Oulussa tehtävää tiedettä ja tutkimusta tutuksi tieteestä ja tieteen ilmiöistä kiinnostuneille oululaisille. Tiedepläjjäyksessä ei ole tiedossa klikkiotsikoita, vaan täyttä tieteellistä faktaa ytimekkäästi esitettynä. Miten aivomme muodostavat mielipiteitä? Miksi hiiltä tarvitaan teräksen valmistuksessa? Hei! [In english below] Ensi viikon lauantaina 17.9 pelataan Oulun Luonnontieteilijöiden jalkapalloturnaus klo 12.00 alkaen ja tapahtuman viimeistään loppuessa klo 16.00. Kaikki ovat tervetulleita edustamaan Histoneita hienossa urheilutapahtumassa, taitotasolla ja kokemuksella ei ole mitään merkitystä tässä tapahtumassa! Erittäin toivottavaa olisi fuksien ja naispuolisten histonien läsnäolo, jolla varmistetaan se ettei otteluun tarvi lähtä pakkasen puolelta. Pelit pelataan Oulun normaalikoulun vieressä olevalla urheilukentällä. Everyone is invited. Freshmen and female players are specially needed, if neither group is represented in the team, it will give a 1-0 lead to another team before the game has even started.
