Research Assistant/PhD student, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology,
University of Kuopio, Finland
Applications are invited for a 1-year full-time position within research
group under the supervision of Dr Leonid Yavich.
The research fellow will study the role of presynaptic protein, α-synuclein
in regulation of complex behaviour including addiction, depression/anhedonia
and learning. He/she will work mainly with behavioural tests in mice and
rats. Prior experience in behavioural studies and animal models is
advantageous. Research fellow will also acquire skills in modern
neurochemical research (including in vivo voltammetry and microdialysis).
The positions would suit applicants with MSc in biotechnology, pharmacology,
neuroscience or a related discipline, and it available from the 1st January
2009 or as soon thereafter as possible. Applicants should send a CV
